“This
service is being provided without costing tax payers a dime,” Douglas stated.
Defendants or users will be charged a low convenience fee by Official Payments
Corp. in order to utilize the online service. “This will also assist defendants
to follow our court’s orders in paying their fines and court costs.” Douglas
added. County Judge
Roger Harmon commended Douglas for his proactive work. “This is a win for the
county, not only by working to get court fees paid, but also helping the
county’s budget,” Harmon stated. Douglas ended by stating “over the past 10
years in office, this is another accomplishment in our ongoing efforts in
continuing to make the County Clerk’s Office user friendly.”
